Authentic Dragon's Blood Comes From A Tree

Authentic Dragon's Blood that come from the tree.   As with most plants, Dragon’s Blood can come from different species of trees including: Daemonorops draco, Dracaena cinnabari, Dracaena draco, and Croton draco.  Scented Home Fragrance dragon blood comes from the Croton tree.

Dragon’s blood is resin that is wild crafted and comes from the Croton Lechleri trees found in the Amazon Rain Forest.  The leaves of this tree are heart shaped and it’s sap is bleeding red. The flowers at the top of the branches resemble a dragon’s head. This not only describes the name but more so the tree’s fierce ability to provide healing. 

The sap is rich in taspine known for tissue and skin regeneration. The same properties that help quickly stop bleeding and seal wounds can also help produce healthy skin. The high amounts of proanthocyanidins make Dragon’s Blood a powerful antioxidant.

Medical Uses of Dragon's Blood

When used externally, clinical studies show that Dragon’s Blood has the potential to heal wounds faster, stop bleeding, remove pain, promote skin repair, and act as an antiseptic, because it is anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, anti-viral, anti-spasmodic and anti-tumor.  

Dragon Blood resin is widely used in incense.   Many cultural spiritual practices incorporated the dark red, bubbling resin into their practices for protection and success. 

The first time I saw dragon's blood resin, I didn't know what to think of it.  My friend said it was a good home protection and blessing.  So I lit a charcoal brick and placed a chunk of dragon blood on it and watched it bubble up.  I didn't like the smell of it, so didn't use it much  but since then, I've learned to blend it with other herbs and oils to get a more pleasant scent.

Dragon Blood fragrance oil dropped out of sight for a while but the fragrance burner oil is again gaining in popularity because of it's beautiful intoxicating aroma.
