Botanical Name: Citrus limon (L.) Burm.F.
Sicily Lemon Essential Oil has a strong bright lemony scent. The fruit was well known in Europe by the middle ages, and the Greeks and Romans were advocates of its properties. Lemon Oil has been historically recognized as a cleanser, and Lemons themselves reached the height of fame when the British Navy began using citrus fruits to counteract the effects of scurvy.
Lemon is widely known for it’s ability to cleanse toxins from any part of the body and is extensively used to stimulate lymph drainage, to rejuvenate energy, purify skin and act as a bug repellent.
Lemon oil is one of the most useful oils to have on hand and can be used as teeth whitener, laundry freshener, cellulite cream, face wash and household cleaner.
